19th-Aug-2008 10:09 pm - And the world turns.
10
It's been over half a year since I posed here. And so the world has turned. That's my realisation of the month. It does not matter what happens, the world turns. Finish uni...world turns...have a weird Christmas...world keeps turning...find a job...world is still turning...move up the organisation hierarchy within two months of starting...whirly-gig goes on...get engaged...you guessed it...have a bad day...I suspect that tomorrow the world shall still be rotating. Although I imagine there are a number of Olympians that would like it to stop. Some to forever preserve a moment that makes much effort worthwhile, and others who would prefer being thrown from the planet as it suddenly stops as it means they don't have to deal with perceived failure.

I've survived three months, not become a raving lunatic, nor I think embarrassed myself overly. I should probably celebrate.

Seems like forever since I posted here. I am still alive! Got caught up with last uni essays. Which are now handed in. All that's left is to see if I passed and then graduation. God that is such a scary thought. The scariness of that thought is what has kept me at uni this long - self-sabotage is a very strong talent of mine. And now that everything is handed in (some of it even handed in early!) the thought still scares me. In fact I don't think there is an aspect of my life I'm not a little scared over right now. Not the best feeling in the world. Still, I know it could all be a lot worse. I get the silver lining, I just wish the sky would clear a little. That said getting a job offer before I finished uni was rather cool, even if I couldn't take it.

Look for the bright and shiny silver in the grey!

I've finally realised why I have such an issue with one of my lecturers - its because their face gives almost nothing away, especially from the back of a lecture theatre. There is so much facial hair that I just don't see the facial expression which means I have a harder time listening attentively to what's being said. Ugh. I never understood just how much being able to see the person who is talking can change the way you listen.

Oh, Lord! I understand people liking something so well they write tales based on it, or even poetry. But this, Cake!

It's odd, I thought to convert my bra size but not my income. Why is that?

The Everything Test

There are many different types of tests on the internet today. Personality tests, purity tests, stereotype tests, political tests. But now, there is one test to rule them all.

Traditionally, online tests would ask certain questions about your musical tastes or clothing for a stereotype, your experiences for a purity test, or deep questions for a personality test. We're turning that upside down - all the questions affect all the results, and we've got some innovative results too! Enjoy :-)

Personality
You are more logical than emotional, more concerned about others than concerned about self, more atheist than religious, more loner than dependent, more workaholic than lazy, more rebel than traditional, more engineering mind than artistic mind, more cynical than idealist, more leader than follower, and more extroverted than introverted.

As for specific personality traits, you are innovative (86%), adventurous (69%), romantic (57%).

Stereotypes
College Student91%
Old Geezer67%
Prep62%

Life Experience
Sex38%
Substances22%
Travel12%

Politics
Your political views would best be described as Socialist, whom you agree with around 83% of the time.
  Socioeconomic
Your attitude toward life best associates you with Upper Class. You make more than 46% of those who have taken this test, and 75% less than the U.S. average.

If your life was a movie, it would be rated PG-13.
By the way, your hottness rank is 60%, hotter than 46% of other test takers.

The fact that I did not notice the disappearance of one of my favourite community type thing here worries me. I think I need to say goodbye to some.

Tis a shame though. I really did like being able to watch doctor who without having to wait for it to screen here.

My day thus far: I think I'm getting a cold - my head is all cottony. Someone or something has introduced my tastebuds to hyper, thus I'm hungry but not willing to eat. Did my speech thing which no one laughed at (that's a good thing as I wasn't aiming for funny). Lastly there is a couple cackling away as they watch an episode of Friends on a library computer - weird and distracting.
